This admittedly is the busiest Christmas break I’ve had so far, it feels like I’m “hoarding” get-togethers and friendly encounters. Year 2007 is about to end, a new one will begin. Surely life will go on as it usually does, but the new year presents new possibilities, new opportunities (we’re talking work here). And no matter how unsure you are about how things will turn out to be, there lies that uneasy feeling that if and when you are granted your prayers, there will be significant changes that have to be dealt with. And the thought of those changes makes you want to enjoy what is in the present as much as you could, for you know for a fact that when there is something to be gained sometimes there is also something to lose. You try to stack up on the things that you may lose, so that when the time comes there would be enough to get you through. And with much hope, you wait for that time, knowing full well that you have already gained so much there’s actually not much left to lose.

Casa Xocolat in Katipunan. Still there, but oh, I miss those days.
